Hide AdMcDermott was the front seat passenger of the car. Her friend had offered to drive her home from a party after she had taken a few drinks.
However, he did not have insurance for her vehicle or a driving licence.
A defence solicitor told the court that it was a ‘genuine mistake’.
District Judge Richard Wilson fined McDermott 130 and gave her six penalty points.
