A Lisburn girl is one of two promising young entrepreneurs representing Northern Ireland at the annual Next Generation Leaders Forum in Canada this month.
Cathy Campbell from Friends’ School and Sarah McBride from Ballymena Academy developed their entrepreneurial spirit through local charity Young Enterprise NI’s Company Programme last year where they each took the challenge of starting a business with their classmates.
They will be amongst some of the world’s top youth leaders as they gather at Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario.
The Next Generation Leaders experience is a blend of personal growth, practical experience and confidence building. Young people face real business challenges and develop strategies in collaboration with their global peers and industry volunteers.
Having developed skills that are essential to making their dreams a reality, the Northern Ireland delegation will return to their communities with a new perspective on what is possible.
This opportunity has been made possible by local charity Young Enterprise NI and Junior Achievement Canada.
Young Enterprise NI is a charity and is part funded by the Department of Education. If you would like to empower young people with skills and confidence to build successful futures visit YENI.co.uk to see how.
