Suspended sentence for drugs possession

A Lisburn woman caught in possession of cannabis has been given a suspended sentence.

Bernadette Fee (42), from Tirowen Crescent, admitted that she had been in possession of the class B drug on August 28.

A defending solicitor told Lisburn Magistrates’ Court that Fee had stayed out of trouble during this period of deferred sentencing.

Defence said: “She has been able to stay out of trouble with the help of probation. She tells me that she is doing her best and focusing on her family.”

District Judge Rosie Watters sentenced Fee to two months in prison but suspended this for 12 months.
