Prevent burglaries urges Wilson

Have your say

Police in Lisburn are urging residents to help prevent burglaries following a number of recent break-ins.

Area Commander, Chief Inspector John Wilson said, “Before you go out and at night, make sure that all doors and windows are locked. In a number of burglaries, entry has been gained through an insecure door or window.

“Never leave a spare key in a convenient hiding place,” he said. “Consider fitting extra security measures at your home like an alarm system, security lighting and mortice locks. Use timer switches to turn on lights when it gets dark.”
