Police discover drugs in Dunmurry


During a search of a property in the Alina Gardens area of Dunmurry on Thursday, July 17 Dunmurry Neighbourhood Policing Team uncovered suspected cannabis with an estimated street value of approximately £4,000.

A 35 year old man, who was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class B drugs, possession with intent to supply and cultivation of cannabis is currently assisting police.

Inspector Peter Brannigan, Dunmurry Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “Information provided by local people is vital in helping us tackle drugs in the area. Drugs are a scourge on society, destroying lives and families and I would encourage local people to contact us if they have suspicions about any person or place. This information has resulted in significant seizures and arrests over the last number of weeks.”
