Police in Lisburn are appealing to owners of motor vehicles to ensure they are locked and secure after a number of thefts and burglaries in the early hours of July 24 at Holborn Hall and Berkeley Hall Green.

There was also been a bicycle theft from Jersey Avenue, Lisburn which due to it being recovered in the Berkeley hall area, may be linked.

There is a description of two males allegedly involved, both believed to be wearing dark coloured hoodies with the hoods up, approximately 16-17 years old.

These males were seen on a bike in Berkeley Hall acting in a suspicious manner.

Constable Andrew Hassard said: “According to the owners of the vehicles many of them had been left unlocked.

“I must stress the importance of security and locking car and property doors and windows at all times.

“Anyone with information on the incidents is asked to contact police at Lisburn on 101 or if someone would like to pass information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
