Man struck with bottle


Police in Lisburn are appealing for information after a man was struck over the head with a bottle as he walked along the Stewartstown Road area in the early hours of Sunday, March 9.

The man in his 20’s was walking near a wooded area at around 4am when he was approached by two males who asked him for a cigarette before striking him.

The man was later treated in hospital for cuts and bruising to his head and body.

Police would like to hear from anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area or who has any information - contact them in Lisburn on 0845 600 8000.
