Male detained after theft of two rugs

On December 29 CityWatch CCTV Operators in Lisburn were made aware of a theft from a store in the Market Square area of the city.

It was reported that a male left a store with two rugs without making payment.

Staff had followed the male and retrieved the stolen goods,

Staff then reported that the male had got onto a bus. Details of the male and the bus number were circulated to all police in the area.

The bus was stopped and a male was arrested by the police for theft.
