Five year sentence for attack on Scott Vineer

The man accussed of a brutal attack on Lisburn teenager Scott Vineer has been sentenced to five years in prison.

Scott was attacked and left for dead on the Laganbank Road in Lisburn in 2012 and suffered severe brain injuries as a result of the assualt.

Twenty year old Ryan Craig, from Ashmount Gardens in Lisburn, was due to go on trial for attempted murder. However, prior to the trial, he pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of GBH.

Appearing in court on Wednesday (November 25) Craig was sentenced to five years in prison, as well as five years on supervised licence.
