Breached a probation order four times

A Lisburn woman who breached a probation order four times has been given a suspended sentence.

Stacey Todd (31), of Chapel Hill Mews, Lisburn had been made the subject of the order on March 31 after being convicted of causing criminal damage.

A defending solicitor told Lisburn Magistrates’ Court that there had been a downward spiral in the defendant’s life following the break down of her relationship with her partner. Defence said: “She abused various substances, alcohol and prescribed drugs. This was a factor of not having any contact with her children.” Defence said Todd had been to her GP about her issues. District Judge Rosie Watters revoked the probation order and sentenced Todd to four months in prison, this was suspended for 18 months.

She said: “I am revoking the order, although I do think it would have been assistance to you.”
