Lisburn North DUP Councillor Scott Carson has commended council staff for their swift response to complaints that the area was looking untidy.

“I recently was contacted by a constituent who uses Duncan’s Dam on a regular basis concerned about the untidiness of the area at times. Having raised this matter with council officers I welcome the proactive approach taken to ensure that the Dam is kept tidy,” he said.

“Some of the measures include further training and equipment being supplied for staff who operate the Dam to allow for regular maintenance of the paths and walkways. In addition, there will be more frequent removal of branches and trimming of hedges by council staff. These actions will be greatly beneficial and create a more pleasant experience for users of Duncan’s Dam.”

Cllr Carson added: “I thank the officers responsible for their prompt action to this query and look forward to hearing of the positive impact.”
