'Controlled burning' of house causes public alarm
Alarm was raised in the Maghera area last night after a house was spotted on fire.
Members of the public reported the blaze at the building at Swatragh.
But, according to police in a social media post, it was a "controlled burning" as part of a demolition.
"We’ve been out and checked it and Fire Service are also aware," read the post. "Thanks to those who were alert to it and called us."
