Charles Chadwick, a Computing student at SERC’s Lisburn campus, has been shortlisted for the ‘Equestrian Surfaces Show Handler Personality of the Year’ at the Showing World Awards which takes place in October later this year.

Charles has been on the showing scene since he was a very small child, and at 19 is well known on the circuit both in England and in Ireland.

In February of this year he was awarded the President’s Award at NPS Conference for his services to showing.

Charles has competed at the highest level, being a regular competitor at Ponies UK, NPS Championships and Royal International.

His connections say that he is well known for his charming personality and excellent manners.

He has been selected from a large number of nominations across the UK and voting is open until September 7.

The winners and runners up of each category will be announced at a glittering presentation gala dinner to be held on October 24 at the East of England Showground.

SERC provides a range of full and part-time courses designed to give students ‘the edge’.
