'˜Meet the Makers' at Supervalu

Morrows SuperValu Lisburn is hosting a '˜Meet the Makers' event with a number of local suppliers on Friday July 1, from 11am '“ 4pm.

Customers and local people are invited to attend the event, which will celebrate local producers and demonstrate SuperValu’s commitment to supporting Northern Ireland’s Year of Food and Drink.

The store was recently refurbished, giving it a bright fresh, new look and welcome local suppliers, including Gilfresh, Just Live a Little, Mash Direct and Irwin’s Bakery will sample their ranges in-store across all categories.

‘Meet the Makers’ is rolling out across all 34 local SuperValu stores in Northern Ireland and is part of the retail brand’s ‘We Believe in Local’ campaign.

SuperValu Lisburn, owner David Morrow said: “We are delighted to host a ‘Meet the Makers’ event at our new look SuperValu Lisburn store and we are looking forward to highlighting to our customers the great support we lend to local suppliers.

“2016 is Northern Ireland’s Year of Food and Drink and there is no better time to communicate SuperValu’s ‘We Believe in Local’ ethos to our customers as well as provide them with a great day out at this family fun event,” he added.

Food NI plays an instrumental role in Northern Ireland’s Year of Food and Drink 2016 and has lent its support to Supervalu’s ‘Meet the Makers’ campaign.

Food NI represents 400 members, enhancing the reputation of food from Northern Ireland and has developed a Producers Guide which was a key reference point for the ‘Meet the Makers’ campaign, connecting local producers and new suppliers with SuperValu.
