Lisburn Chamber of Commerce recently embarked on its first business-study visit of 2016.
It saw chamber members visit the PRM Group.
Founded in 1998 by Philip and Lynne Morrow, PRM has grown to become what’s described as one of the largest, independent, chilled and frozen food sales and distribution companies in Ireland.
A chamber spokesperson said a large number of members took part in the visit.
At PRM they were welcomed by Philip Morrow.
Mr Morrow, along with Patrick Black, delivered a presentation on the history of the award-winning business, as well as outlining current activities
The spokesperson said: “A fascinating tour of the warehouse storage facilities then followed, which highlighted the enormous range of products carried and the highly automated processes in managing this stock.
“The event was completed with a delicious lunch and informal networking.”
Chamber President, Stephen Houston, thanked Philip and his staff for hosting “such an interesting visit”.
Mr Houston also reminded members of the next Lisburn Chamber event.
On Wednesday, April 20, a breakfast networking event is to be held in ‘Simply Fish and Chips’ at Bow Street.
The main speaker will be GlynRoberts from the Northern Ireland Independent Retail Trade Association.
