Firm thanks employees with family fun day

More than 700 people, including employees and their families, attended the plant to enjoy a fun fair and soak up the atmosphere of the day.

In attendance were the Mayor and Mayoress of Lisburn and Castlereagh, who took the time to speak to employees and learn about the day-to-day work of the business.

Mayor Brian Bloomfield MBE said: “It is fantastic to be invited along today and meet so many people from our community. I commend Coca-Cola for organising the event, not only as it is a lovely day out for all the family, but also because it gives employees here the opportunity show their family and friends the impressive facility in which they work, with a unique behind-the-scenes look into the world of Coca-Cola.”

With the much-loved Coca-Cola Visitors Experience on site, a tour was also offered to all guests. They were treated to a history of Coca-Cola through the fun interactive zone, followed by a visit to through the corridors of the plant itself to see the production facility at work. A buffet lunch was also offered to all in attendance.

Speaking at the event, Matthieu Seguin, General Manager of Coca-Cola HBC Ireland and Northern Ireland said: “I am really pleased to offer our employees the opportunity to show their friends and family this wonderful facility at Knockmore Hill, as a ‘thank you’ for their support and dedication to the business. Coca-Cola has 77 years’ rich heritage on the island of Ireland and we aim to continually celebrate that with these local events for our employees.”
