Lisburn’s newest Council led business mentoring programme, Evolution, has grown from strength to strength with the 50th company having recently signed up.
Lisburn City Council is delighted with the response to this programme which was only launched three months ago.
The Evolution Programme is funded by Lisburn City Council and is part funded by Invest NI and the European Regional Development Fund under the Sustainable Competitiveness Programme for Northern Ireland.
Alderman Allan Ewart, Chairman of the Council’s Economic Development Committee, speaking about the Evolution Programme, said: “This practical and interactive business mentoring programme is open for all business sectors to apply, and is designed to help businesses develop new strategies or enhance current ones; increase turnover and profits, identify new markets, and enhance their online and social media presence.
“It is excellent news that there are now 50 companies signed up to benefit from the support and mentoring offered by a dedicated team of business advisors.
“The growth and expansion of local businesses is a priority for both the Council and Invest NI.
“The Council is committed to supporting over 200 companies to engage in the Evolution Programme as it will provide businesses access to vital business knowledge, through a wide range of diverse project partner support programmes and specialist business advisers assigned to suit each business growth needs.”
Stephen Brown, Managing Director of North, Time and Data, the Evolution Programme’s 50th company, added: “I am very pleased with the support that my company has obtained from the Evolution Programme.
“The advisors have offered free, tailored expert advice and direction at a time that suited me through mentoring on brand enhancement and development, online marketing and expansion of the existing customer database to include new markets.
“I have worked for North, Time and Data for over 20 years and it is refreshing to have outside experts take the time to come and support me and my colleagues on new areas.
“I thoroughly recommend this programme and would encourage other companies to participate.”
