Lisburn Arts Advisory Committee’s Young Artist of the Year Award 2014 is designed to help young talent working in visual art, theatre, performance art, music, dance or literature to boost their careers as working artists.
The fund, run in partnership with Lisburn City Council and ISLAND Arts Centre, supports individuals aged 16 to 25 with a bursary of £1000, to support arts projects, residencies or approved study, over and above full–time second or third level education.
The award may also cover the purchase of specialised equipment/materials or to cover travel and attendance at arts events outside of Northern Ireland.
The award body is looking for young talent who can demonstrate how the bursary will help develop their creative practice and take their work to the next level.
If you are interested in applying please contact Lynda at ISLAND Arts Centre on 028 82 509509 or E:Lynda@island.lisburn.gov. uk.
The deadline for receipt of applications is Friday January 31 at 4pm.
