Avoid the traffic jams and shop in Lisburn city

‘AVOID the traffic jams and shop in Lisburn’ – that’s the message from Lisburn City Council and Lisburn City Centre Management.

To highlight the advantages of Lisburn shopping, the Council has been running a ‘tongue in cheek’ campaign highlighting the current benefits of the Lisburn shopping experience.

As the busy retail season is nearly here, Alderman Allan Ewart, Chairman of Lisburn City Centre Management has also highlighted the altogether ‘less stressful’ shopping experience that awaits in Lisburn this Autumn.

He said: “There have been well publicised reports of traffic problems in nearby cities and shopping locations and we wanted to remind everybody that these current traffic problems do not extend to Lisburn, and coupled with first class shopping, this makes Lisburn the ideal shopping destination in the greater Belfast area and beyond.”

“Make Lisburn your shopping destination in the run up to Christmas. It offers the very best in shopping value and convenience. Our location makes us one of the most accessible cities in Northern Ireland and with ample car parking we want to let shoppers know that the shopping starts as soon as you arrive.

“Life is too short to be stuck in traffic jams and roadworks, especially at this busy time of the year, ” said Mr Ewart.

Chairman of the Council’s Economic Development Committee, Alderman Jim Dillon said that the pre Christmas promotion was a campaign that has a serious message at its core.

“We want to encourage shoppers to the City and experience the City Centre, Bow Street Mall and the Sprucefield offer. Our view is to promote the wealth of all that we have to offer and to encourage shoppers into Lisburn, Moira and Hillsborough, highlighting value, first class choice and stress-free shopping,” said Mr Dillon.
