LISTULLYCURRAN Orange Lodge concluded two very successful charity appeals when they held a coffee morning in aid of Northern Ireland Kidney Research Grand Master's Appeal raising over £1000 and accepted gifts of goods for the Servicemen in Afghanistan.
Grand Master Worshipful Brother Robert Saulters welcomed all attending and thanked the Lodge for the initiative and introduced Mr. and Mrs. Billy Thompson and Mrs. Nelly Mehaffey representatives of the charity and Mr. Walter Kerr one of the original founders of the charity. Dr Emma Borthwick from the Renal Department of the Belfast City Hospital addressed the audience and the County Down Grand Master Worshipful Brother Victor Harrison spoke in support of the Charity.

Drew Nelson, Lodge Secretary, commented: “We cannot say a big enough thank you to all those whose generosity contributed so much towards the outstanding success of this special event, many sent or brought gifts which all added to the pile about to be packed and dispatched to those Servicemen serving abroad at this special time of remembrance.”
