Emma Rebecca Donnelly (20) from Woodland Avenue was struck by a vehicle between Bath and Stroud on Saturday after stepping off a minibus.

The accident occurred as Emma who attended Bristol University was returning from the Badminton Horse Trials where she was working.

Her devastated parents Liam and Geraldine flew to Bristol on Sunday.

The couple are currently staying at a hotel in the city waiting for a post mortem examination to be carried out.

As yet it is unclear when they will be able to bring Emma's body back to Northern Ireland.

Emma's oldest brother Philip described his younger sister as "very amiable.

"Emma had a good effect on people. She was very friendly. That's a credit to my parents. We are a very close family," he added.
