THE fashion show element of the Hillsborough Oyster Festival has had to move to the festival marquee to ensure no-one is turned away this year following its soaring popularity.

Last year's very successful show
Last yea
r the fashion show was held in the Village Centre in Hillsborough but interest in the tickets ended up being much more than expected.
To ensure everyone is accommodated on Thursday September 4 the organising committee and benefiting charity, Action Cancer, have moved the event to the marquee which allows for a capacity of 600 people – trebling the number of attendees and allowing for a larger stage to showcase even more style from fashion house Debenhams.
Themed 'Life After Cancer', the event is organised by Action Cancer's Lisburn support group who have secured 30 local models for the show.
All models are volunteers who have had an experience of cancer either personally or through a family member or friend. The leading local cancer charity have been the benefiting charity for the Hillsborough Oyster Festival for the past two years and depend on events such as this to raise the £3.6 million needed for their life-saving services every year.
Clothing lines will include casual, sporting and evening wear with a wide age range from toddlers to the young at heart! Models will have their hair styled by Michele International in Belfast.
Tickets cost just £10 each to include a free Clarins goodie bag, a Coca-Cola drinks reception, and ice-cream by Taylor.
To book your tickets for the show, please call Norma Bell MBE on 9262 9712 or Kyla Stratton, Community Fundraising Assistant for Action Cancer on 028 9080 3344 or email kstratton@actioncancer.org. Show starts at 7.30pm but please arrive earlier.
