1st Derriaghy Guides, Brownies and Rainbows held a very special party in Christ Church, Derriaghy last Thursday evening, November 5, celebrating 100 years of Guiding.
The fun packed programme for the evening included face painting, table tennis and crafts. They also held a treasure hunt/quiz which involved finding pictures of Lord and Lady Baden-Powell and answering questions that included 'when did Girl Guiding commence?' and 'when is Lady Olave Baden-Powell's birthday?' - the answers to which are 1909 (100 years ago) and 22nd February (Guides Thinking Day) respectively.

In addition to their weekly dues, the girls brought a donation for Children in Need, which together with other fundraising events has so far reached over £150.
