Hide AdWinners of the 2009 International Choral Festival in Bangor as well as semi-finalists in the BBC1 programme, Last Choir Standing, this evening will include an eclectic selection of songs and repertoire as featured in their debut album, ‘Many Hands’. The ‘Starbucks’ Sessions, Starbucks at Junction One on Thursday, February 25 at 7pm. Catch the second of these free weekly acoustic sessions, showcasing the best of local talent in the ambient surroundings of Starbucks at Junction One – a coffee to accompany the musical entertainment is a must!
In Session: Skin & Bones with support from The Friday Night Music Club. Local musicians, Tommy McMeekin & Richard Magee, present a lively set of old favourites and original compositions from influences as far and wide as the Beatles, Tom Petty, REM and a little bit of everything in between. Support on the night comes from the participants of the Friday Night Music Club, showcasing their talents in a band specially formed for the Festival – miss it at your peril!
Having run from Wednesday, February 17, the festival finally winds down with the 4 Corners Folk Finale, headlined by The Henry Girls at the Park Plaza Hotel, Antrim on Friday, February26 at 7.30pm.

Hide AdThis fantastically talented trio of sisters from Inishowen, Donegal, have burst onto the Irish music scene with their eclectic sound of blues, country and traditional world folk. Having recorded their third album, made numerous television appearances, and received an Irish Film & Television Awards nomination for scoring the Aidan Quinn film, ‘A Shine of Rainbows’. Don’t miss your chance to catch this stunning trio in concert!
The night will also feature the presentation of the Jim Gilchrist Music Maker Award, bestowed annually on a local musician who has demonstrated a significant level of achievement in their chosen area.
Further musical support on the night comes from ‘demon gadgie’ guitar playing Robin Hurt and his band who will performing folk standards alongside his own compositions. The opening act at the Finale will see the return of pop/folk trio, Cat Malojian, who played to great success at the festival launch in the Dunadry Hotel, ensuring the festival draws to a toe tapping, foot stomping close!
