The former Maghaberry Arms site is set to be transformed into a brand new EUROSPAR supermarket bringing 15 new jobs for the area.

Opening on March 31, the Henderson Group has announced a total investment of £1.5m to bring a much broader range of services to the local community in Maghaberry.

Store Manager Paul Patterson will be recruiting a total of 15 employees who will join the team of 15 staff from the former Mace shop in Maghaberry which is due to close.

Speaking about the new store, David Miskimmin said: “We are delighted to be able to open a brand new EUROSPAR supermarket in Maghaberry and look forward to providing a much better shopping experience and better value for our customers.

“We want to work with the people of Magheraberry to create a community hub within our store; supporting the causes that matter to them. We ask residents to please be patient while the construction works are underway and hope that they will enjoy the economic and practical benefits this new, fully functional store will bring to the local area.”

The investment in the new EUROSPAR store, located at Maghaberry Road, Craigavon was made by the Henderson Group whose retail group, Henderson Retail owns and operates 80 successful SPAR and EUROSPAR stores across Northern Ireland.
