Star crossed lovers come to the Island

THE Icarus Theatre Collective bring Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet, to the stage of the Island Arts Centre on Saturday December 1 with this bold and exciting production of this classic tale of love and loss.

Set against a celestial and cataclysmic backdrop Romeo and Juliet find their world becoming a constricting single mausoleum of fate and death intertwined with misadventure, familial pride and ancient quarrels.

With their reputation for punchy and vibrant productions The Icarus Theatre collective have won countless accolades, including Time Out’s Critics Choice, and their production of Macbeth sold out in March 2012 at the Island.
