MOJO FURY FRONTMAN TAKES TO THE LISBURN STAGE

PERHAPS better known as the front man for local alt rock heroes Mojo Fury, singer songwriter and multi instrumentalist Michael Mormecha has an alter ego in the form of avant garde musical project Clown Parlour.

And Mike will be performing as Clown Parlour at the Island Arts Centre on Saturday February 14 at 8pm.

From dark gritty folk to light soulful pop and everything in between, Clown Parlour offers no boundaries when it comes to genre.

Offering up a beautifully bizarre soundscape complete with Russian folk chants, pitchshifted drums, cellos, bells and ice cream van jingles.

Imagine the musical equivalent of The Beatles having mid morning coffee with Nine Inch Nails and Ludwig Van Beethoven providing the biscuits, this perhaps offers a tiny glimpse into the weird and wonderful world of Clown Parlour.

With the wonderfully thought provoking debut release, 'Introducing Clown Parlour' unleashed upon a soon to be adoring public, Michael undeniably proves his musical talent goes far beyond the adrenaline soaked roar of his Mojo Fury day job.

Having now put together a like-minded motley bunch of troubadours under the Clown Parlour moniker, Michael is taking his collection of devilishly delightful tunes out on the road and makes a much anticipated trip to the Island Arts Centre in his home town of Lisburn on Saturday February 14, with the Parlour curtains opening at 8pm.

Tickets are now on sale priced 5.87 and are available from the Island Arts Centre box office on 9250 9254 or online at www.islandartscentre.com.
