I regularly use the Cod Father; most recently on Wednesday 4th July 2012.
Staff friendly, polite and helpful.
I gave a telephone order and this was ready for me when I arrived 10 minutes later.
My Battered Cod and Breaded Place was well "fried"; good quality and reasonably priced.
Recommended; I usually am a customer outside the most busy periods.
Well used by locals.

Agreed on the above review, I mean its a local chippy depenable on local customers, I think without being funny they have a serious chip on their shoulder. The staff are rude, the owner seems to be lathering himself in 5 pound notes in his bath tub at night with the prices of this place, and the chips are bogging! It’s like you go in a “may I have a chicken burger meal please” and your befounded by the back alley attitued of the person working the till. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Well what can I say about this place? I used to like this place, but that has changed for three reasons. Firstly, they must have changed their chips in recent times as they went from great to naff. Secondly, quite regularly they have made mistakes with orders, with wrong orders or food missing. And thirdly the attitude of their staff is appalling. They are completely unfriendly. If they aren’t bickering with each other then they are bickering with customers, (they used bad language towards customers over mistakes in their orders! Unbelievable.). Totally unprofessional. There are too many other chippys in town to have to put up with such a low level of service. Unless you’re desperate, avoid.
