Vintage club raises money for charity

GLENAVY and District Vintage Club raised £3,000 from their successful indoor show which was held at the Danescroft Equestrian Centre and from their annual Road Run in 2012.

At the club’s Annual dinner, which was held in the Banville House Hotel on November 2, David Herron chairman and John Bond secretary presented cheques of £1,500 each to the Chest Heart and Stroke Association and Alzheimers Society which were the nominated charities for this year.

The Glenavy and District Vintage Club Chairman, officers and members would like to thank the owners and staff at Danescroft Equestrian Centre for their help, to their sponsors, exhibitors and stall holders and the public for attending the show and making it a success to the tractor and car drivers who attended the Road Run and all those who contributed in any way.
