Unique exam success for local brothers
RONNIE Thompson Funeral Directors, whose premises are located at Ballinderry Road, Lisburn are delighted at the recent success of their staff members.
Brothers Jamie and Andrew Bracewell have qualified as fully accredited embalmers after completing the British Institute of Embalmers Study Course, both here and in Liverpool.
Modern embalming is most often carried out to ensure better presentation of the deceased for viewing by family and friends. Many experts now consider viewing as very helpful in the grieving process.
Local brothers Jamie (33) and Andrew (35) have, between them, over 20 years experience in the funeral profession. Having successfully passed the necessary theoretical and practical examinations on human anatomy, mortuary and embalming methods and procedures, they will shortly be enrolled as full members of the British Institute of Embalmers (mBIE) in a joint ceremony.
The brothers have also successfully completed an intensive specialist reconstructive embalmers course in Coventry.
Company directors Ronnie Thompson and Bill Reid said: “Having supported Andrew and Jamie throughout their training and studies, we are delighted at their outstanding success.”
