MURDOCK Builders Merchants in Lisburn has shown that support for the local community remains a top priority by donating £200 to Marie Curie Cancer Care.

The donation marked the culmination of Murdock’s 30th anniversary year and saw each of the company’s nine regional branches support charities which are important to their local customers. A total of £1,800 was raised was in lieu of funds traditionally spent on Christmas cards and gifts. Ciaran Sweeney, Manager of Murdock Builders Merchants, Lisburn said: “We’re very pleased to be able to present this money to Marie Curie Cancer Care. The work carried out by the team of staff and volunteers is extremely important and much valued, so we’re proud to be able to give something back to help support them, not only at Christmas time but throughout 2013.”
