School of Music hits all the right notes

ON Saturday November 24 Lisburn School of Music’s Vocal Department showed off its talent in the final LSM recital of 2012.

Led by Claire McCartney (Head of Vocal Department) and accompanied by piano tutor Niall Hilary the programme of students included Hannah McCann (Be Our Guest from Beauty and the Beast), Aimee Herron (The Bare Necessities from The Jungle Book), Abigail Harvey (With a Little Help From My Friends), Eimear Molloy (Edelweiss from Sound of Music), Victoria Murray (Popular from Wicked), Courtney Storey (Bring Me to Life by Evanescence), Amy Mulgrew (Whenever, Wherever by Shakira) and Hannah Irwin (To Make You Feel My Love by Adele). Following the fantastic performance, worthy of any X-Factor stage, Claire McCartney presented the LSM Student of the Month, with LSM polo shirt to Amy Mulgrew. Amy was nominated by her teacher Samantha McMillen because of her consistent hard work, a great attitude, and an ability to take on board instruction.
