Springwell runners take on 5K race
The men’s race was won by Adam Boyd in 18:07 with Springwell’s Christopher Millar second in 19:42 and Colin Loughery third in 20:13. Anne Paul led the ladies home in 21:09 followed by Springwell’s Kerrie McIlmoyle second in 23:08 and Glenda Whitside third in 23:10.

Barry McCluskey ran a PB 1:39:02 at the Great Scottish Run (Half Marathon) in Glasgow on Sunday.
Springwell’s Fran McFadden returned to her roots to win the Monaghan Phoenix Marathon on Sunday in a time of 3:31:15. Alistair Shaw completed the 26.2 miles in 3:29:22. Monaghan Phoenix AC hosted event was held in the beautiful picturesque surroundings of Rossmore Forest Park.
Foyle Valley AC hosted the 5th annual ‘Marty’s 5K run’ on Sunday in memory of the late Marty Gallagher, a rising on the local running scene, who was knocked down in October 2009 and tragically lost his life.
