Seniors take the lead in Ardglass
Ardglass is a beautiful course but, when the wind blows, it can be a seriously difficult test. And so it proved.
All four games were very closely contested. The Banbridge team, under the captaincy of Brian Mulholland, were quietly satisfied with their overall performance.

Hide AdBrian (11) partnered Peter Hillen (10) in the opening game and they got a half match against M. Devlin (10) and T. Long (9).
Sydney Pepper (11) and Bobby Geddis (11) lost by 2 holes against H. Smyth (14) and J. Walsh (14).
Tony Ewbanks (12) and Dennis Lockhart (13) lost by one hole to H. Chambers (17) and J. McGreevey (17).
Seamus McGrath (17) and John Poots (18) lost by 2 holes against T. McCormick (19) and G. Crudden (20).

Hide AdThe advantage is certainly with Ardglass but this Banbridge team could easily win 4-0 at home on Wednesday May 29. And they are only five holes down. It’s going to be a close finish, that’s for sure.
