Seapark pair complete gruelling 103-mile run from Belfast to Dublin
The challenge was in aid of the Patrick O’Connell Memorial Fund (www.Pocfund.com).
The two-day run involved a gruelling 58-mile run followed by a further 45 miles the following day.

Hide AdBoth athletes were then invited to the Aviva Stadium, Dublin to watch the Republic of Ireland v United States of America friendly match. The runners, along with ambassadors from the Memorial Fund, took the spotlight at half-time, taken on to the pitch in front of the crowd, to highlight the run. A fantastic achievement!
In other Seapark AC news, five members ran the weekly Carrickfergus 5k parkrun with results as follows: Bobbie Irvine (below) crossed the line in second place in 20:00, while Ian Clelland took third position and secured a new personal best in a time of 20:11. Charlie McCormack 20:25, Brendan Rice 20:46 (new PB) and Karen McMaster 31:27.
Seapark AC meets Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm at Carrickfergus Ampitheatre. Runners of all abilities are invited to come along and will be given a warm welcome.
