Park Seniors brave wet weather to maintain good run of form
On rink 1 John Houston, Roy Kernohan, Robert McCready and Davy Balmer took on A Craney.
The visitors found it tough going and could only win 3 of the opening 10 ends and by that time the Braid men had established a 7 shot lead.

Hide AdThe second half of the game was closer and in the end the Ballymena rink went on to record a 16-10 victory.
There was a close game on rink 2 where Willie McNabb, Gary Shaw, Derek Greer and Nigel McFadden were drawn against the Nortel rink skipped by J Hunter.
There was never more than a couple of shots separating the rinks during the game with the Ballymena men just finishing in front by 16 shots to 14.
John Montgomery, Paddy Duffy, Artie McAuley and John Elliott were level after 5 ends in their game against R Colgan on rink 3 with the score board reading 4-4.

Hide AdThe visitors took the lead for the first time on the next end but their advantage was short lived as the Ballymena men scored 5 shots on the next end to regain the lead.
The Braid rink never looked back and they eventually went on to win by 21 shots to 11 (adjusted to 21 – 8.25 as the Nortel rink had only 3 players).
On rink 4 Keith Burnett, Liam Lyness, Alan O’Loan and Alex Wilson started slowly against C Davidson and after 5 ends they trailed by 5 shots to 2.
The game changed on the next end when the Ballymena men picked up a maximum count of 8 shots and from then on there was only going to be one winner and in the end the Braid men won comfortably by 25 shots to 13.
This Saturday Ballymena Senior Park are away at Malone.
