Vandalism fears in Carrick estate
Jim Strange, chairman of the local tenants’ association in the estate said that vandalism and crime may increase unless the police re-opened their police sub-station in the estate following a number of incidents in the area,
Mr Strange said: “The sub-station was open regularly during the day until about six months ago. Now, it is open very irregularly for a couple of hours in the evening.

Hide Ad“Everyone is most concerned about the rundown of the sub-station. It is needed. People in Sunnylands did use it and its presence in the estate was a deterrent to crime and vandalism. Incidents may increase if it is not open on a more regular basis.”
