As the half wore on Banbridge began to settle and the effervescent midfield began to create some chances for the attackers. Banbridge took the lead midway through the first half when a well worked short corner routine paid dividends with Punam McGookin completing an excellent finish.
The second half began with Dungannon pressing hard for the equaliser, but despite some good approach work they rarely threatened inside the circle.
As the half wore on the space began to open up as both teams tired. Banbridge took full advantage when with 10 minutes left an excellent through ball found Sarah inside the home circle and she expertly slotted past the Dungannon keeper.

All players contributed significantly to this performance and if the same effort and commitment is evident in future matches, then many more wins should be secured.
