Impressive weekend for students at Greenmount
Cara and Aela both showed their class in their respective races with strong runs for second in each hotly contested race while the quartet of Oonagh Payne, Amy Mullan and Georgia and Grace Donaghy combined well to lift the team prize and confirmed their recent victory at the Northern Ireland Primary Schools Cross-Country Finals was no fluke.
James Conlon, Shea Martin and Cathal Cooke were the scorers as Broadbridge Primary Boys continued the fine recent form and reaffirmed a growing reputation.

Hide AdMoving to the other weekend outdoor action and local athletes were once again were in the thick of the action with significant performances in Gransha.
The St. Patrick’s Weekend 5K in Gransha on Saturday, which took place in glorious sunshine, was led home in 15 minutes and 29 seconds by Emmet McGinty, an improvement on his third place and 15 minutes and 34 seconds performance last year.
An impressive run by the Spartan who was out front from early on and held off a strong challenge from clubmate Connor Doherty who chased him all the way on a speedy 15 minutes and 37 seconds.
Top Master runner, Pauric McKinney of Inishowen AC, completed the podium places with a 15 minutes and 54 second effort.
