Last week saw the dry spell of weather slowly come to an end but not before the Roe Park members got a few rounds under their belt along with some much needed Autumn Pairs points.

With no less than three Club Stableford competitions the stage was set for another exciting week.

Up first was Thursday’s Stableford which saw cold and breezy conditions make it tough for all. Not so Stephen Lunn who managed an excellent score of 38 points to take the victory.

There were a few scores of 37 points with Keith Bennett the best of those finishing second thanks to count back and just beating Kieran Berryman who had to settle for third.

Saturday’s Stableford was played in wetter conditions which seemed to favour the hardy winter golfers.

Neil Mullan played his best round of the year to score a fantastic 44 points to take the victory.

He was actually one under par through twelve holes before four bogeys in the closing holes cost him to eventually finish a still superb round of three over par 73.
