Tech see off Newington Rangers in friendly
Tech manager Johnny Hastings classed it as a good 90-minute workout. “Apart from a friendly against Carrick Rangers, we haven’t played in four weeks. Newington gave us a good game, although it ended up comfortable enough in the end.” he said.
“It was also good that we were able to give a few second-team players a run-out with Neil Webb, Aaron Hyslop and keeper Mark Burke all impressing.”

“It was good to get them back and give them a run out. We in no way let ourselves down and I thought we played the better football,” said Rollo.
“We could have been back into it when Marty Stirling missed a penalty at 1-0, and I’m not just sure how he scuffed his shot on the 3g surface! We fell asleep near the end to let Yilmaz in with a header and they scored a third late on.”
