Striker Mark Miskimmin has left Carrick Rangers for Amateur League side 18th Newtownabbey Old Boys.

Miskimmin, who counts Glentoran and Donegal Celtic among his former clubs, arrived at Taylor’s Avenue in the summer after spending last season at Coleraine.

The 27-year-old broke on to the Irish League scene under David Jeffrey at Linfield before securing a move to Glenavon where he scored 15 times in 68 appearances.

18th Newtownabbey boss Phil McMahon confirmed the signing. The frontman could make his debut for the Division 1C club when they host Groomsport on Saturday.
