Seconds are beaten at Waringstown
The visitors' first innings total of 152 was never going to be enough on a flat track and so it turned out as the hosts comfortably passed the winning post with seven and a half overs in hand.
Richard White top scored for Ballymena with 49, but only three other players - Neil Fullerton (24), Fergus Taylor (19) and Jeff Martin (15) - reached double figures and that ultimately proved costly for them.

Waringstown were tottering at 51 for three - with Gordon taking a brilliant running and diving catch at mid off - but Stephen Allen (56 nout out) and veteran Alan Waite (49) saw them home with six wickets in hand.
Ballymena captain Neil Fullerton said: "We just didn't score enough runs after winning the toss. We were 40-50 runs short of a competitive total. But I was delighted with the bowling, the fielding and the attitude and effort shown by everyone in the second innings."
