Cordner sets ladies’ course record at Carrick parkrun
Gillian Cordner was the first lady home and also set a new ladies’ course record, crossing the line in 21:14.
It was also the first parkrun event for several Seapark AC members and a string of personal times bests were set.

On Sunday Seapark members set off for East Down AC’s annual Jimmy’s 10k road race in Downpatrick, Co Down.
In a field of 700-plus runners, Seapark AC representatives produced strong performances with finishing times as follows: Mark Welsh (1:00:50), Alison Welsh in (1:00:50), followed by Vivien Davidson 1:05:18 and Marie Nicholson 1:05:17.
Also on Sunday Seapark was represented at the Dune half-marathon - the first race of the 2014 Pure Running-Championchip Ireland Half Marathon Series which saw competitors race from Newry to Dundalk.

Hide AdDespite a challenging three-mile climb at the beginning of the race, Seapark members all ran well and several personal bests were achieved, with finishing times as follows:
Gillian Cordner, 1:34:02 (PB, second in age category), Bobbie Irvine 1:34:35, Chris McCormick 1:39:27 (PB), Gary Connolly 1:39:45 (PB), Caroline Salters 1:43:52 (PB) and Andy Smyth 1:58:12 (PB).
Seapark AC meets on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7:00 pm at Carrickfergus Cricket Club, Middle Road, Carrickfergus.
