Whitehead set to face Carrickfergus in Irish Senior Cup
Stevie Moran just sneaked home 17-16, winning eleven ends against the north west outfit. A ragged, fruitless first four ends seemed ominous but, once his team gathered momentum, they had just a bit too much for the Division 2 opposition. Ian McMenamin continued his bowling education with an outing at second.
Marty McHugh had a bit more to spare, despite winning only eight of the ends on offer. His heavier scoring was what proved decisive in the 21-18 win.

Barry Browne continued his victory march in the remaining contest. Nigel Beggs and Colin Todd have gelled delightfully at the vanguard while Philip Weir adds wit and wisdom to the attack. The 24-14 scoreline reflects an impressive outcome, but, once again they lost a slippery six early on. It did not prove fatal, but made their task just that bit trickier.
