White line picket supporting the people of Gaza
Rows of men and women stood along white lines at Millennium Way and Edward St holding placards and waving Palestinian flags.
The placards read ‘Free Palestine’ and condeming the slaughter in Gaza.

Hide AdThe protest lasted for around one hour with many vehicles tooting their horns in support.
It ended peacefully.
The Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign is having a meeting in the Ashburn Hotel on August 14 at 7.30pm.
There will be a film showing of ‘Roadmap to Apartheid’ followed by question and answer session with Martin O’Quigley, National Chair of the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign.
A group has been set up on Facebook to organise toys for the children of Gaza.

Hide Ad“We are collecting clothes, toys, school and baby items for the children in Gaza who have lost their homes and belongings as a result of the daily attacks on the Gaza Strip,” said the group.
Collection point in Lurgan is: St Peter’s Parish Hall, North Street Lurgan on Tuesday 5th August 7pm - 9pm and Saturday 9th August 10am - 2pm
