Video: Rathcoole community facility damaged in overnight attack
The community facility, which houses organisations such at the Citizens Advice Bureau, was daubed with sectarian graffiti sometime overnight between Wednesday and Thursday, August 13/14.
Target symbols and sickening slogans such as ‘Taigs Out’ were painted on the front wall of the building, while ‘We support Israel’ was daubed on the side of the centre.

Pat Hutchinson, CAB district manager, described the latest incident as “very intimidating and frightening” and warned that the centre can’t sustain any more attacks.
Both women have appealed for attacks on the centre to stop.
Condemning those responsible for the graffiti, Macedon Councillor John Scott said: “This is an attack on the whole community and I would urge anyone who knows who was responsible to contact the police. These mindless attacks on the centre must stop.”
Mayor Thomas Hogg, who visited the centre on Thursday morning to inspect the damage, branded the attack “mindless thuggery and criminality.”
Police investigating the incident have appealed for anyone with information to contact them at Newtownabbey Station, or to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
