Cllr Archibald-Brown added; “The new footway will provide a safe environment for pedestrians between their home and Ballyclare. Especially in these unprecedented times, walking has become such a popular activity and residents of Ollar Valley and Hansons Hall deserve a safe place to walk.
“I am very happy that DfI recognised the concerns and have committed to the new footpath.”
Mr Clarke and Cllr Archibald-Brown had met with representatives from the Department for Infrastructure to voice community concerns about road safety.
