Jonathan Buckley has become the first councillor elected to the new Armagh Banbridge Supercouncil.

Mr Buckley (DUP) was elected in the Portadown DEA with a first preference vote of 1,738 - 232 over the quota of 1,506.

The next member elected was Jim Speers (UUP) in Cusher, who romped home with 2,221 votes - with a quota of 1,749.
