Plans to build 42 new houses in Ardboe
Next week, a public meeting will be held in the village to discuss the proposal for 42 new houses on the site of Forbes Furniture Factory.
A statement from McGurk’s Architects in Magherafelt has called on local people to have their say.

“If our Application is successful, the Furniture Factory will move to new premises on the Aerodrome. We want to find out what local people think of our proposals before we finalise our Application.
“These homes are being planned for Ardboe and because it’s important that we know what local people think, we’re holding a public ‘drop-in’ consultation event as follows: Tuesday 31 May 2016, The Tilley Lamp’ Restaurant, Ardboe, 3.00pm to 9.00pm
“Our plans will be on display at the meeting and we’ll have people there to talk you through them and answer any queries. What you say will feed into our final planning process and will be passed on to the Mid-Ulster Council Planners.

Last week, the Mid Ulster Mail reported that house sales have more than doubled in the Mid Ulster District over the past year according to official figures.
